Prokaryote

Prokaryote is a most organism in earth, they are the first form of life. Prokaryote is a unicellular organism and haven’t nucleus membrane. Prokaryote has evolved into several forms and now be a part of every life in earth. They found in the bottom of ocean 9,6 km under water and in the Arctic and Antarctica.

Not like a many organism, prokaryote have a little different morphology which can be used to classify, prokaryote haven’t variation size and form. Traditionally prokaryotes can classification based structure, physiology, and composition molecular.

Surface prokaryotes sometimes bring some structure in the form of short hairs, called pili, and some long hair structures called flagella. Pili allow cells to attach to cells or other surface, while the flagella used for swimming when the cells are in liquid media.

Trait of Prokaryote:
  1. Haven’t nucleus membranes
  2. Have a different eukaryotic ribosome
  3. Almost all prokaryote smaller than the smallest eukaryote
  4. Unicellular

By comparing ribosome RNA, the scientist found 2 different type from eukaryote, namely:
  1. Archaeobacteria
  2. Eubacteria

The different from Eubacteria and Archaea lies in the nature of the biochemical. For example, Eubacteria have a ester bond in blubber plasma membrane, whereas in Archaea have a bond eter.

Archaea groups usually occupy extremely habitats such as high temperature and high salinity.
